About Me
I received my Bachelors of Arts in psychology and sociology from Rhode Island College. In addition, I received my Masters in Social Work from Rhode Island School of Social Work. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Rhode Island. I have 20+ years of experience working with individuals of differing abilities, child welfare, long term care, juvenile justice, adult corrections/rehabilitation, psychiatric, medical and emergency hospital services.
I have 2 therapy dogs Stella & Cora. We went through a rigorous training program through The Windwalker Humane Coalition For Professional Pet Assisted Therapy at Providence College. Stella and I received our credentials in November 2023 while Cora and I were credentialed in February 2024. Together, we are team Bundles of Joy.
I am a credentialed Auricular-Acupuncture Technician (AAT). I received my credentials from The People’s Organization of Community Acupuncture in February 2024. I especially enjoy offering this alternative treatment intervention with noted improvement in physical and mental symptoms expressed by clients (i.e., the nervous system, breathing, digestion, heartbeat., fight/flight to rest/digest, depression, anxiety, insomnia, pain, ADHD, panic, hypertension, fear, paranoia, mistrust, fertility, confidence, lower legs, spine, mood, addiction, anger, ligaments, hair, nails, sadness, grief, apathy, lethargy, skin functions, breathing.
